Lambda at the XI National Congress on Archaeometry

Lambda joined the XI AIAR Conference in Napoli, 28-30 July 2021, and presented the last results in pigments characterization and 3D archaeological fruition. During the conference Professor Marco Martini was nominated honorary member of AIAR (Associazione Italiana di Archeometria), together with Professor Giovanni Gigante and Professor Ferruccio Petrucci

Lambda registered in the IAEA XRF Facility Database

Lambda is now registered in the International Atomic Energy Agency XRF Facility Database. This year it will take part in the worldwide Proficiency Test for Nuclear and Related Analytical Techniques Laboratories PTNATIAEA19.The test involves distributing to participating laboratories a “clay sample” and a “plant sample” with established homogeneity and composition. Leonardo and Madonna Litta on "Dyes and Pigments"

A new goal: the results of the diagnostic campaign on the works of the exhibition “Leonardo e la Madonna Litta” at Museo Poldi Pezzoli are published on Dyes and Pigments ( The work was possible thanks to the collaboration between Lambda, the Bioimaging and Molecular Phisiology Institute of CNR, and the Physics Department of the University of Milano. New paper on Ossimo-Pat dating campaign

We published a work on the surface dating of some rocks from the Ossimo-Pat megalithic complex. It is a complex structure of 4000 mq. Giancarlo Zerla discovered the first decorated stele covered in woods in 1994, and the excavation continues since then. The work was possible thanks to the collaboration between Lambda and the research group of Raffaella Poggiani Keller. The paper is available here

Special mention for Miriam Saleh at SIF 2020

Miriam Saleh received a special mention from the Scientific Commitee at the SIF National Convention 2020 for her communication “Study on the provenancce of lapislazzuli with XRF, XRL and Raman analyses (M.Saleh, L.Bonizzoni, A.
